Our story - Pastéa


The five-a-day message was the inspiration behind our pulse pasta!

According to a worldwide survey carried out in summer 2017, people don’t eat enough vegetables, and younger generations eat four times less fruit and vegetables than their grandparents.

Nutritionally speaking, pulses are essential for health: they contain high quantities of protein and are rich in fibre, B vitamins and minerals.

Armed with this knowledge, the Pastéa team decided to make pasta from 100% pulses.

Pastéa is the result of a European collaboration – it’s a French brand made in Italy, the home of pasta and a country with the expertise and a true passion for this amazing food!
